The Itinera Emilia Cooperative was founded in 2009 from the experience and friendship of Elisabetta Ivaldi and Maria Elisabetta Rastelli, certified tourist guides. United by the love of their region and the desire to unveil all its charms to visitors from all over the world, the founders built an organisation with professionalism and passion that has earned its titles of nobility year after year, in Parma and throughout Emilia-Romagna.

In 2012, Claudia Cattani joined the cooperative which began to collaborate with the municipality of Soragna, where she managed the tourist office for 4 years.

In 2015, Amalda Ciani Cuka entered the team and contributed new skills. The cooperative collaborates with some twenty high quality tourism specialists, and is designed for Italian and foreign travellers.

2019 marks the arrival of a new member, Daniela Lanfredi, with strong skills in the Food sector and a specialist in organised tours for small groups.

In addition to developing tourist itineraries tailored to the needs of each client, Itinera has distinguished itself with discovery initiatives such as the “Musical Promenades” during the Verdi bicentennial organised under the aegis of the municipality of Parma, “Secret Havens”, guided tours of the library of Saint John the Evangelist or the “Imaginary Food” route.

In collaboration with the province of Parma, the cooperative conducted “The Wellness Shuttle” and “The Night of Parish Churches”.

It has many collaborations, notably with the University of Parma on the occasion of the 15th EAAE Congress “Towards Sustainable Agri-Food Systems: Balancing between Markets and Society”, with Acqua di Parma, Davines, Ceramiche Sassuolo and various other well-known companies.

In 2018 it produced itineraries for schools, “I like Parma”, a week of events under the auspices of the municipality of Parma and the Emilia-Romagna region, as part of the EnERgie Diffuse initiative.

The cooperative is registered in the public administration’s electronic market.
